‘You cannot be nothing when you are everything to someone else’ - Lauren Roberts ✨
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 3.5 Stars
The chemistry between Pae and Kai is 😘 I adore their scenes together. I’m a big slow burn fan - even if it is a little unbelievable. 💕
The opening scenes were great, I was desperate for them to unite but worried about what would unfold. Unfortunately, the following 200 pages didn’t use this tense set up to its advantage at all. 🙈
I’m really confused why we spent the majority of the book travelling to and from the same locations with the same outcome each time. It should’ve been gripping but it just got repetitive and stale. 😬
The pool and the meadow scenes were beautiful. It was everything I wanted - though I knew Lauren would make it short lived 😂 I enjoyed the ending a lot, it was predictable but dramatic nonetheless.
Overall, I have a fun time with these books, it’s just such a shame the middle sections aren’t as thought out as the characters. 🤷🏻♀️
