Look, probably all the dark romances I've been reading have desensitized me a bit because there wasn't even a second when I thought that Emma was stupid or ridiculously naive.
The chemistry between her and Logan was off the charts, and his stalker ways were too endearing to be concerning.
Don't blame me, take it up to Layla who wrote this fantastic novella and was able to walk the minuscule, fine line between being too trusting and being simply an idiot, and she walked it like a boss.
The only thing that didn't sit well with me was the bit with Emma's ex and the person he got the information from: I don't think it made any sense, and you'd had to be a pretty shitty person to reveal such sensitive information to the first douchebag who asks.
It was just put there in the story and it felt so weird that it took me out of the story for a second.
But other than this, I loved it! I've read Layla's paranormal stories, and I'm so happy she's tipping her toes in contemporary romance!
