No One Else Can Have You by Kathleen Hale
2.0
I read this book for one reason only: I had heard that the author openly admitted to stalking a Goodreads reviewer both online AND offline that criticized her novel. I wanted to read what assholes like Hale wrote about.
Meh. While the novel was flawed, with flat, one-dimensional and unbelievable characters, it wasn't as terrible as I expected. It was predictable, however; a teenage girl starts her own investigation following the murder of her best friend, and (even though she's crazy!) manages to solve the crime. Nothing special -- a solid two stars if I'm judging the novel only, and not letting my opinions of the author cloud my review.
If the author's career isn't over after her ridiculous behavior, I probably won't read anything else she writes.
