Mediocre: The Dangerous Legacy of White Male America by Ijeoma Oluo

3.0

I absolutely loved the stories included in this book, both historical and current. They really paint a picture of the white male legacy in this country, and Oluo does a good job putting those stories in greater context. The book’s conclusion is a much needed wrap up that puts a lot of the book in perspective and looks at moving forward as a nation. I do think the further description and context in each chapter gets a bit repetitive. This is a heavy read but a good one to push yourself through.
