Scythe by Neal Shusterman

4.5 stars!! This book was phenomenal. I do believe it started out a little slow, but it really built the world that we are introduced to. This book makes you think a LOT! The entire time, I was putting myself in the characters shoes and thinking about if this world existed.

The Thunderhead itself is such an interesting concept and makes you think about how significant the internet is to everyone and how much information it really has stored.

Now what's not to love about our two main characters, Citra and Rowan? Sometimes I was concerned about how they were turning out as characters and if I was still going to like them throughout this rich story. I won't say too much because I do not want to spoil anything for those of you who haven't read this book.

Near the end, I cried!! SPOILER:
SpoilerI cried when she had to kill her brother. I cnan't help but put this in here. It hit home so hard as I have two brothers myself and I CAN NOT imagine if I was put in that situation. But Citra rose above it and prevailed in her final task.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It's themes are dark, but necessary, and will probably stay with me for a long time!
