This is a very dark book which did not resonate with me at all.

I loved Freshwater and The Death of Vivek Oji, two of Ekwezis other works. 
This one felt.. different. The writing was detached and explanatory. The book felt hollow, not least because of the wooden dialogue and the only marginally developed characters...
