I was really excited to read this, I have it on my kindle and thought what a great book. In the end I felt what an okay book. The plot just unfolded to slowly for me and in areas where there was opportunity to condense the verbiage and allow for the story to unfold more freely, it was ignored. The concept of the book is rather interesting but sadly it was lost to me in to many words. To descriptive would be the crime. I want to give Mieville another chance so I am going to read another one of his novels, hopefully it does not leave me with the same feeling.
