idk if i just didn’t get it but this felt unnecessarily misogynistic?? like despite it simply being from the perspective of a (kinda?) misogynist, there was no condemnation of his acts and they felt brushed off like a “oh well that’s just quirky old barry” which i was not a fan of. further on this, not a single female character felt as fleshed out or important as any of the men, and it felt almost like they were the butt of every joke. the story was moving and interesting, but cannot get higher than a 2 from me for these reasons :/
