Even though or maybe because I know the story this book was hard for me to go through. It was causing me anxiety because I knew what will happen. Especially those two flashback scenes with A-Qing and the with Nie Mingjue. 
But I am also loving all the dynamics. Love that we got to spend time with the kids. Lan Sizhui continues to be best boi and i love him so much. 
I actually love Jin Ling as a character because you see him struggle so much. He's this spoiled kid because his parents died and then his uncle is mean to him and he fears his uncle. But then he also wants to prove himself and grow into his own and he meets his uncle who he kinda connects with but then he finds out he is actually the other uncle who he swore to hate. 
Xue Yang is absolutely terrible and I hate him so much. He might be the most evil character out of them all. I hate him with a passion.
 I love the clear deep relationship between the Twin Jades of Gusu and how much they trust each other and support and love each other. Lan Xichen is a bit naive in regards to Jin Guangyao but then everyone is since Jin Guangyao is so good at manipulating people. Love that Lan Xichen clearly knows Lan Wangji has it bad for Wei Wuxian and he probably knows the guy who goes around as Mo Xuanyu is actually Wei wuxian because there's only one man his brother would do this all for.
I am excited to get to see more of Wen Ning because he's also my favourite. 
And lastly I love how much Wei Wuxian is falling for Lan Wangji without even noticing. Am excited to read the third book where we get to dive more into their past.
