This book is a bit difficult for me to rate. I have been interested in/followed the phenomenon of human trafficking and the education for girls and women in developing countries for a number of years, so perhaps it is because I have already heard and read about the atrocities that lessen the impact of this book for me. This book is a great one to introduce people to how human trafficking ends up occurring and what life in a brothel can be like, but beyond the generic story (and the unfortunately even more generic western-centric ending), there is not much the book has to offer. For those more interested in this topic, and willing to sit with discomfort and a giant grey zone, try Not for Sale by David Batstone or A Long Way Gone by Ishmael Beah.
