The Gustav Sonata by Rose Tremain

5.0

The Gustav Sonata is a beautiful and touching story of friendship and unrequited love.
Now before you think "oh I don't like romance, this isn't for me", nuh uh! This is a story about families, compassion and music.
The format of the book was perfect for me. We start in 1947 in Switzerland and then learn of the past and the future. Tremaine is a wonderful writer and the story flows and sucks you in.
I adored it. When I finished the last page I closed the book and hugged it. Honestly I hugged my book.
A big fat 5
