Good Morning, Midnight by Jean Rhys
3.0
I read this book on the recommendation of Jennifer Egan having used it in a workshop I attended, and because I've heard of Jean Rhys for years but never read her work. I appreciated the modernist experimental format, and of course the deeply depressing subject matter didn't bother me, but it did feel a bit dated to me -- however, I'm glad I read it.
