Feeding Ghosts is Tessa Hull's memoir that examines the relationship between her grandma, her mom, and herself. To look into why all of the three women are the way that they are, she has to go back to her Grandma's past in China and discover the trauma that happened to her and how that trauma has been passed down each generation. I went to an author talk for this book (I had never heard about before) and I am so glad that I went because this book was amazing! The illustrations are great and you can tell how much research went into the book. I not only learned about Tessa's family, but I also learned a lot about China through the years. I think that Tessa did an excellent job at describing how trauma is passed down and how it effects different people. Even though this book is a graphic memoir it is pretty hefty.
