Wow, this one sucked me right in and wouldn't let me go until it's been finished (well, sleep and work stopped me for a bit). Wow.

I love it.

The characters (be it Sam, Moxie, the De Laineys or Avery) just grabbed me and made me love them.

I love how fiercely protective Sam is. I love how he does everything for the people he loves even though so often he has been shown that a lot of people won't do that for him. I love how he wrangles with himself - about what he did. About how soul crushing it sometimes is to always have to take care of someone else and put your own hopes, dreams and desires a step back (same with Moxie and the babies). I love how he won't let himself believe that he could have this. This family. This home. These friendships. This love. How he finally lets himself believe it.

I love Moxie. I love how she manages to be a friend for Sam. How she struggles to be her own person and not "Mama". How her kindness and trust manages to save two lives. Also, I want her to sew a dress for me!

I love the De Laineys. Wow. Such a chaotic, loving and incredible family (not perfect, but that's more than okay). Can I please come for a Sunday or two?

Avery. How he wants to have friends and be independent and how he gets betrayed breaks my heart. I love how he steps up in the end and helps/protects Sam.

Also, found family for the win. Always and forever.
