A hard-hitting book that really makes me feel for the characters. Ms Toni Morrison knows how to make you feel for her characters, and honestly Pecola deserves the world, she suffers so much. Truly makes you think how much suffering a person can be go through behind closed doors. The whole discussion of beauty standards back in the 20th century makes me disgusted, and Ms Morrison really shows how a young black girl is affected by those standards. Truly a thought-provoking book.
