A Reason To Believe by Diana Copland
5.0
Great
4.5 🌟
Reread for Buddy read 2020
No matter how many times I read this one, it never fails to deliver. I really wish the author would follow up with a return to Matt and Kiernan but I’m also happy to reread this one when I need to.
I loved Matt and the fact that even after what happened to him with meeting Abby he pretty much stayed true to his personality requiring visible proof and a stayed bit of a sceptic. He did believe in what Kiernan did but also liked to have an answer that required his police work and investigation.
Kiernan was a hoot and I loved his quirky personality shown a lot through his banter and his t shirts. His compassion to family members was lovely.
I did feel that the ending was a little bit out of the blue, there was no real lead up or clues to the killer during the book, it was just there as we followed Matt’s progress. I also wished Matt got some resolution with his boss, he needed to have some action against him.
