Curse by Christina Maraziotis

5.0

My obsession with the Loveletting Series grows with each page I read. I am addicted to these characters and all the adventure, drama, and heartbreak that follows them. The emotions you go through reading these books - it's a non-stop carousel of laughter, love, sorrow, disgust, intrigue. I love the supernatural elements that were prominent in Curse, giving it more of an eerie, gothic vibe compared to Haunt.

Haunt left me utterly heartbroken and I wasn't sure I could handle whatever awaited in Curse. We follow Charlotte as she slowly starts to lose her identity, shadowed in pain, guilt and self-resentment...haunted by the past but trying her best to move on and survive. She's one of my favourite FMCs - one I would love to have as a friend in real life. There's so much I want to say about Curse, but it's too easy to give away spoilers, so I'll leave you with this brief rundown:

๐Ÿ˜ฑ Chapter 28 was jaw drop S-C-A-N-D-A-L-O-U-S!
โ˜ ๏ธ James is the definition of unhinged
๐Ÿฅฐ Jesse is a total cinnamon roll - the absolute sweetest, even when he's throwing insults you can't help but smile (especially when it's directed at his dad ๐Ÿคฃ)
๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ The Marshal...who would have thought an eye patch could be so sexy? I may have to go back and read chapter 59 again ๐Ÿฅต
๐Ÿคฏ That endingโ€ฆumm, WHAT?!

This is not your typical love story and happy endings arenโ€™t guaranteed. A must-read!
