The Call of the Wild by Jack London
5.0
I could be bias (because my love for dogs runneth deeeeep), but I don't believe I am... this book had me crying from beginning to end, over the tiniest reasons and of course, over the biggest reasons. Sometimes Buck was a little butthead, bully but I loved him all the same. He is the goodest boy.
I have the edition that includes "The Call of the Wild" and "White Fang" and I was going to start "White Fang" directly after, but I don't think I have the mental strength... if Jack London did this to me in a short story then I just can't take on his longer novel surrounding dogs just yet. In time, perhaps.
Loved it. Loved it.
