I really enjoyed this one.
It was great seeing Colorado mature as the book progressed. He still kept his friendly and funny personality, just grew up and went after what he wanted. I really felt for him at the start when it kind of felt like everyone was against him when he found Maddie. Yes he was a screw up at that point and they all had a point in what they were saying, but the guy took immediate responsibility for the baby and wanted to keep her and everyone was like but we have a game to play. I’m glad the club worked with him to get him custody.
Now Joseph was a totally different character. A total nerd but one who was prepared to stand up to the jock and do what was right for the child. Their first interactions were entertaining. I enjoyed watching Joseph also come out of his shell and he really bloomed under the attention of Colorado, as he was generally interested in what Joseph was saying.
The secondary characters were a hoot. I really enjoyed the interactions between Colorado and Simon his security. Simon gave back as good as he got.
