It's not that the book itself is bad! I myself just could not resonate with it as much as I wanted to. I couldn't befriend the archetypal characters, couldn't get to the at times male gaze-y character descriptions (Meredith was a victim) and perhaps I'm just not in my Shakespeare era yet.
