initially i thought the reviews on the back of the book comparing the left hand of darkness to both the lord of the rings and dune was interesting but now…i kinda get it. very awesome story set in this future of space travel, politics, culture, sexuality, and friendship. it’s still acute to the world today. this is my third book that i’ve read by le guin and she has yet to let me down!
