This book was... a shame. Great concept, great description of the setting, I enjoyed the first book too, but this one was a bit of a drag to read and I saw the ultimate plot twist coming.

Written well but pacing was slow with very little happening in the first half. The female lead was also too naive and dumb; it felt as though she did not grow as a character at all throughout the duology. 🫠
