This book is set in the Orange County, CA area and follows an Indian family navigating an issue that happens in their very privileged and very white neighborhood. I could not put this one down. It was emotional and takes another look at what racism and privilege can look like in these modern times. It really highlighted some of the differences of first gen immigrant parents and second gen kids. First gen parents don't always have the experience or knowledge of what it's like to grow up in America so often, their children are figuring things out for themselves and I could really relate to that. This was great on audio and in print, both worked equally well. This is a must read!
