The Chimes by Charles Dickens

2.0

Okay, it's official: I will never get along with Charles Dickens' writing style, nor his stories. Not even audiobooks, and in general I have a relatively high tolerance for audiobooks (notice we're talking about Richard Armitage's narration, which happens to be one of the most pleasant things to listen). I found this story too slow paced for me to actually pay any attention to the plot itself, the characters too generic for me to actually care about them, their development too slow for me to connect with them and the story too bland for me to notice whatever was the important aspect of it. Add that to the fact that I don't really care about the setting of the story itself or whatever remorse the main character felt regarding... well, whatever it was and there you have it: a story to which I am completely indifferent.
