The Partner is a slick thriller but I found it hard to like the protagonist. He's not awful, he's just not very likable. Another issue I had was that everything seemed to be coming together too perfectly that it felt unrealistic. The ending changed course but also failed to satisfy. We were given no reason to anticipate such an ending, though it somehow feels inevitable. Despite this, I still was interested to see how it all played out and I was entertained.
