I love a good friends-to-lovers trope, and this one did it well. It gave me the same giddy feelings as A Long Time Coming by Meghan Quinn. Even though Hallie and Jack weren't friends quite as long, they still had the cutest, funniest friendship. I loved it. And nothing about their friendship changed when they became a couple. That's the best part. They were still best friends.

Better Than the Movies is definitely my favorite YA book by Lynn Painter, but this one ties with it for the adult genre. So freaking cute. I was swooning and giggling, and the spice was well written and didn't overshadow everything else.
