The line where he said he didn’t hit her just strangled her a little bit did me in! I was ready to marry him for that. I’m not sure if this is weird but I wished Damian had a different name. When I would read and my eyes were tired I’d keep mixing his name with Deacon’s. Other than that I was super happy with this read! Well done on the trauma. It wasn’t gratuitous but you got the point acrossed.
