Feeling: Depressed.
I related a little too much to marianne, especially in the beginning. As the book went on I felt a real connection to Connell, especially his anxiety and depression. He would often describe how he felt stressed in social situations and to be honest I also related to how he felt about sex with people who weren't Marianne. I also feel like I'm living in a state of perpetual anxiety... Ugh this book just depressed me so much, man. I don't even really know what to say other than Sally Rooney you will be mentioned in my suicide note. I'm quite interested to see how the show interprets this book, I might watch it after a read a couple other books and get a break from how absolutely wrecked this made me feel. My god.
