5.0

Sensual, humorous, and entertaining, 12:01 is the black romance romcom that you can’t help but to fall in love with (and laugh out loud in the process). Midnight and Tyme’s banter was entertaining and their chemistry leaped off the page immediately, making this love story one to remember.

Bella Jay’s continued loyalty to crafting unapologetically black characters is what makes her work such a joy to read. The journey to this HEA was not without a few bumps, but the bumps were also accompanied by a quite a few giggles to due to the humorous dialogue between characters.

If you loved Bookmarked, you are going to be utterly obsessed with 12:01. The drink recipes, playlist, and 12:01 party guide were the perfect touches to making this book more of an immersive experience. Being delulu is indeed the solulu in this love story and I can’t imagine it any other way.
