My first introduction to Wendy Wasserstein - she shares a story of one woman's journey from 1960's high school to finding her own life as an art historian. Throughout the play she maintains a friendship with her gay doctor friend, and oddly - with a man she meets at a McCarthy rally who becomes the epitome of the baby boomer successful businessman who cheats on his wife and his friends.
Heidi perseveres and maintains her own identity.
