Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

5.0

The final chapter to this exciting story. Who will Katniss end up with? Peeta or Gale? Who is truly her enemy and her friends. I couldn't put the book down, I wanted to know the answers to these questions and much more. Which gratefully was all answered.

There are no real plot turns or twist, you can see the events building up and you find yourself reading because the build up is not just in written form but in you. Well at least in me, as Katniss continues to the play this game that she can not escape, being a piece to everyone's master plan but hers. I want to know she is going to make it out okay, I have seen her go mad but find peace, find love in ways but loose it. Oh how I just want her to be happy and like everyone who was watching the games, fall in love with Peeta.

The third book introduces a new dictator(Coin) who wants to rule the Mockingjay but can it be done. Snow failed, nearly broke Katniss but failed, can this one succeed.

I really really enjoyed this series. It was not a complex story line, not to wordy in the way of description and once the ball started rolling the events happened rather quickly and kept your attention. I hope the movie can capture the spirit of Katniss, her emotional turmoil and her freedom properly.
