Hello I am GONE for this book. This might be the perfect romance? Georgie is someone who everyone thinks of as an unfocused flake, but in reality, her superpower is that she can manage multiple projects and distractions simultaneously. She is not a liner thinker. Meanwhile, Levi has isolated himself from everyone because of a years-old bad reputation. It's the first thing he thinks about when he meets new people and so he keeps everyone at arms length even though he has done the work to make himself and his life better since he got in trouble. Together they are two hot dummies briefly sharing the same house and trying to use the past to make sense of their futures. One thing I loved about this book is that the ending doesn't mandate that Georgie have an answer for what she wants to do with her life, which is a key question of the book, she has have her HEA and figure out the rest later. And the epilogue shows some of that. But a person doesn't have to be perfect or together to be ready and deserving of love.
I have said so much about the characters that I haven't even touched on Kate Clayborn's writing but it is visceral and beautiful and makes me feel so much for these two! Also, Levi is Lyake coded from the get-go (IYKYK) and it made me like him even more.
