This book is a short, funny glimpse into a culture I know very little about. There is still much I recognize, of course, because it shows the stuff we all have in common- love, infatuation, friendship. I was struck by how the Nuuk nightlife felt very much like the nightlife in any small town in the US - you go to one of two bars, see the same people you see every evening and then you go to someone's house when the bar shuts down. Same people, same routine, different nights.
