“a world series trophy is great, but my relationship with callie? it’s everything.”

this was so freaking cute! i think baseball romances are growing on me now, and i loved every second of this one. 

callie was such a relatable character, which made this a really good read for me! i loved how she wasn’t put off by trying new things, and didn’t shy away from the ridiculously last minute interview her brother set up for her. she wasn’t afraid to say what was on her mind and ask questions where questions arose. she had such a bright personality that worked with will’s and made her so loveable to everyone else. with her parents, i like that it was more difficult for her to let go but she finally did what was best for her and cut them off instead of them cutting her off. 

will’s internal fight with his feelings was equal parts funny and adorable, but made me want to shake him and yell that he was actually in love with callie, he just didn’t outwardly say those words. his protectiveness over her even when they weren’t together was so sweet. i mean, hello? getting the recipe for a tea for callie to try and claiming the place was open on christmas/her birthday because she liked it? swoon. he did so many little things for her even when he couldn’t pinpoint his feelings or see that she felt the same way for him, and i giggled like an idiot every time. 

and the side characters? i need each and every one of them to either have their own book or continue to pop up in future books. miles was such a sweetheart and the fact that he wanted to marry callie (he’s 5, btw) melted my heart. will’s sisters were hilarious and i hope they get the attention they deserve because i absolutely loved them!
