I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver

Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
DNF @page 130ish

I’m at age35 definitely not the target audience of a YA novel, but I wouldn’t buy it for my kid either.

I’m not a fan of how the topics in Bens therapy session were revolving around the love they still might have for their parents (…) after they got kicked out of their home. The therapist came over as pushy and I really don’t liked the fact that instantly medication became a topic and after a super short span of sessions the Therapist worked with medication rather than building up skills sets and coping techniques.

The pace was too slow and while I don’t have any problem with the narration in a ‚slice of life‘ way, i honestly don’t need pages of a math tutoring scene when it doesn’t matter in the long run (regarding character development or relationship development)

Side note regarding accessibility : i bought the paperback and the passages with text/sms/ email conversations were super small and difficult to read
