This was an enjoyable story, but it could have been developed more, especially when Jason first arrived at Mercy Hill. The tension between him and Mac could have been built up more. Jason's trust issues seemed to magically disappear as well. I would have enjoyed a slower build-up of love and trust between them. Instead of letting the characters and their relationship shine, the focus was on rushing through the plot and getting to the HEA. I'm also not a fan of shifting between first person and third person. I prefer authors to pick one and stick with it, even when they're alternating POVs.
Overall, it was a quick, enjoyable bit of fluff. I just would have liked more.
