A Fantasy novel with no quest?? No magical talisman? No orphan who mysteriously comes into power? Sure there is an orphan, but thus far that's the only thing that equates this to Fantasy, there is magic of course. What I am trying to say, is that even though this is not your typical formulaic fantasy novel, I loved it. However, like most Fantasy novels it is the first in a series. I just pray that Patrick Rothfuss can keep it up for the next 2 books. I have really been waiting for this novel a long time,or one like it at any rate. Excellent story line, great characters and a plot that keeps you moving from one page to the next.Honestly, I am not sure how Mr. Rothfuss is going to top this one, but all I can say is keep it coming!!!
