This is probably my least favorite Elsie book. However, this being her very first book, it's decent.

This is marketed as a romance, but truthfully, this felt like 30% of the plot. It's more like a sub-plot. And that's ok. It's not why I didn't love it.

What I didn't love was Vaughn. I really was not feeling the romance at all. He was cringy and icky and too much of an asshole in the beginning to forgive.

The best part was Billie and her horse DD. That's all. Their relationship was beautiful. This was their story.
