Not Quite Nice by Celia Imrie. Mystery, Cozy. The first in the series. Theresa find herself suddenly forced into retirement. She is worried about the prospect of babysitting for her grandchildren more when she has more free time. (The children, btw sound horrible) She decides to take a trip to the South of France and falls in love and buys a house almost immediately. When she moves down there she gets caught up in the expat community and finds new friends. Of course there are other things happening: small thefts, visits from family, classes in cooking and sailing. An enjoyable cozy. Read very quickly.
