The Only Suspect is a standalone psychological thriller/mystery by bestselling author, Louise Candlish. I’ve read Louise Candlish before and can confirm this one is her best yet. Perfect for fans of Claire Douglas, Mark Billingham, Claire Mackintosh and Paula Hawkins.
The story is told in multiple POV and timelines which sets up a complex and layered mystery that is sure to suck you in quickly and not let go. I read this one mostly across one sitting, I couldn’t put it down.
I’ll admit the twists in this one threw me and I did not see coming. The story was engaging and kept my interested and the characters were interesting and easy to relate to. Overall, this was a fun, easy to read suspenseful story that I would highly recommend.
