This is everything I love in a well-done fantasy novel for kids. The characters are learning who they are, filling huge roles, and are a part of the grand struggle between good and evil.
I’ve always enjoyed Brandon Mull’s books and this one was no exception! I’m intrigued to see how the series continues to go, especially considering its format as a multi-author series. It’ll be interesting to see how each author - from the very impressive lineup! - brings their own skills and strengths and blends them with the overall arc of the series.
