One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez
2.0
I have picked up and put down this book something like 3 or 4 times. This is the landmark magical realism text, but I could not get into it. Something about it hits the dull marker and by page 250 or so I realize each time that Im still not invested in the characters or even finding the left-of-center setting/ambiance to be that intriguing.
Perhaps I’m just not in the right headspace for this work at this time in my life. It may be one that I return to later. We’ll see.
