Another one! I was in my feels even more in this one than the first book just because of everything that happened. Selwyn!!! I really wanted him and Bree together and I wanted him to find his mom still! So many unanswered questions. The twist as to who the baby was that Bree saw when visiting her ancestors... I was shocked. Though a part of me really wished it was Selwyn. It hurt me to read about the curse regarding the root power and how the women were cursed once they had kids ( I believe that was the curse and that this was discussed in this book- I read these a while back). It made me feel like having that power isn't something that I wouldn't want either. So I wasn't too terribly upset when Bree decided to get rid of that power at the end, but I was upset that she decided to just leave everybody, and then make a deal to train and go with the guy who killed every woman in her familial generation! That part I am still trying to come to terms with. But who knows what I would do in that situation.
