Skyclan's Destiny by Erin Hunter
4.0
SkyClan's Destiny shows us the modern SkyClan thriving after Firestar rebuilt it and left, and Leafstar makes for an interesting narrator. She struggles with her newfound responsibilities, especially as her hot-tempered deputy Sharpclaw challenges her. Leafstar is plagued with strange dreams and a prophecy, and things seem even stranger to her when strangers show up in the Clan with unknown intentions. Leafstar must deal with plenty of other cats' troubles, including settling the tensions among her own Clanmates, as the full warriors and daylight-warriors (part of the Clan during the day, housecats at night) begin to argue. She also struggles with falling in love -- something a Clan leader typically shies away from.
We get occasional chapters in the POV of one of the loners who takes up in SkyClan, adding an interesting change of pace and a neat side story that ties in with the book's ending.
