Three stars, but some of that's on me. It has been a while since I read the previous book and I found it difficult to remember who the many characters were, the context of their introduction and the backstories. Not bad as time travel novels go. However, there were so many egregious grammatical errors and misplaced modifiers that I was kicked out of the story every few pages. If you have a low tolerance for crappy proofreading and editing, you might be happier skipping this.
