Give me a 2nd chance story, give me older-than-average MCs, and give me ANY story by Kaje Harper and I. AM. THERE. This story didn't disappoint and just added to my love of all her stories. From the moment that we meet Griffin at his sentencing trial, I was so invested in him and in Lee. Twenty years ago, they had a tough situation where Griffin had a choice to make, pulling them apart. I loved watching them navigate their way back to each other, learning to forge even stronger bonds of trust and love than what they would have had twenty years ago. Even with bumps along the way.
And with all of Kaje Harper's books, the secondary characters were equally fantastic. But I do have to call out Owen and Harvey, especially what they do to a certain paparazzi in the epilogue. That was popcorn worthy. They were a joy in both Lee and Griffin's lives and in mine.
