Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose

3.0

↠ 3.5 stars ⭐️

I loved The Perfect Marriage by Jeneva Rosa, so I was excited to finally read another thriller of hers. And I really wanted to love this one, but it was just okay for me.

The first 60% was pretty slow in my opinion. I felt like I was waiting for something shocking to happen. It eventually picked up—or maybe I was just invested in learning the truth. Once I was there, I enjoyed it, but it wasn't as twisty as I had hoped it to be. Ultimately, it felt very unsurprising to me.

Overall, I liked it, but I didn't love it. I enjoyed Rose's writing and how the story was told, and the audiobook narration was well done, but I expected more surprises along the way.

Oh, but that cover is a 10/10 though
