It's safe to say, this was way better than the first book in the series. Max and Hannah are so beautiful together. Both are flawed with past trauma that makes them scared to love. It was lovely watching their connection grow and their chemistry sizzle. I also sobbed when reading about both MC's past. This was done so much better than the first book, and I'm sorry to say it, but the huge emotional reactions were a lot more justified here. It was also nice to hear snippets about Chase and Winnie's growth, too.

The only reason this wasn't a 5 star rating was the many issues I found with the writing. I hate to be that person, and it's usually something I can ignore, but there were so many that made it hard not to notice. There was incorrect spelling/words not complete (eg, he instead of the, boo instead of boot) and also the fact that at one point, Hannah is called Hazel and Max WOODS is referred to as Max Hastings.
