The Angel by Tiffany Reisz

4.0

Not quite as good as the first one, but a lot more thought went into the backstories of the characters.

There were one or two moments that I think were added for shock value rather than contributing to the overall story, but I just kind of worked to put them out of my mind. Also a few cheesy, unrealistic moments that I didn't really expect from this author.

It ended on quite the cliffhanger, and I have high hopes for the next installment. This is still one of the stronger pieces of work I've read that details the intricacies of the scene and I hope that it continues on that path rather than relying on cheap tactics meant to horrify the reader.
