I thoroughly enjoyed trying to figure out "whodunnit" at Mitchel's Inn. I found the story grabbed my attention right at the beginning, and kept me enthralled ALMOST to the end. The characters were, while not all likeable, believable and real. The interactions were played out well, and we got to know the characters by "being there". I was a little disappointed by the ending however. While I did not guess the culprit, it was explained too quickly and too neatly. I would have preferred to learn bits and pieces throughout the book, and put them together myself. The last chapter felt rushed, and as though the author changed her mind and had to make up a reason for it.
